Foreigners Fundraising Campaign

Let's keep these 'foreigners' in Ipswich

The Ipswich Arts Foundation is currently conducting a fundraising campaign to support the acquisition of 35 rare and distinct pottery items important for the City of Ipswich Collection.

These items are known as 'foreigners' - a colloquial term used in Ipswich to describe objects made for personal use by workers at the city's various industrial sites and factories. Often made illegitimately on company time and using their employers' materials, the items are more broadly known as 'workman's pieces'.
