Foundation
The Ipswich Arts Foundation was established in 1997 to link government, business and community in their support of the Ipswich Art Gallery. The Foundation attracts a wide range of supporters, including high-profile government and business leaders, through to community members and students, all dedicated to enriching the cultural life of Ipswich.
Since its inception, the Ipswich Arts Foundation has raised nearly $8m in support of the Ipswich Art Gallery.
In addition to the Ipswich City Council's ongoing financial commitment to Ipswich Art Gallery, the Foundation has attracted major corporate sponsors and donors such as Bendigo Bank, CS Energy, The University of Queensland, Delfin Springfield Pty Ltd, Wingate Properties, AMEX Corporation, as well as numerous local businesses supporting the programs of the Gallery.
The central element to the Ipswich Arts Foundation's success has been engaging the Ipswich community in the development and support of the Gallery.
The Foundation also raises funds for the purchase of artworks and items of cultural significance for the City of Ipswich Collection at the Gallery. Offering donors tax deductibility on all cash donations over $2 and artworks approved under the Cultural Gifts Program, the Ipswich Arts Foundation supports the Gallery in preserving Ipswich's cultural history for the benefit of future generations.
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Ipswich CEO's network, the Ipswich Cup 1865 is now proudly on display at the Ipswich Art Gallery where it stands as an eloquent testimony to the City's proud sporting past.
