In this special two-day workshop ceramic artist Jane du Rand will share her technique to design and build a ceramic relief sculpture of a house (possibly your own).
You will learn to design and build the layers of your house, add detail with basic clay carving techniques, and make the frame that the house will sit in. All levels of art-making experience welcome.
The work will be bisque fired and available for collection 3 weeks after the workshop. Each participant will be notified when their finished piece is available for collection.
What we provide:
- All tools and materials are included as well as the costs for glazing and kiln-firing the ceramic piece
- Tea, coffee and snacks
What you will need to bring:
- An A4 printed portrait of your chosen home (printed from home printer is fine)
- Must wear closed-in shoes and clothes that you can get a little messy
