THIS EXHIBITION OCCURRED IN THE PAST
Discover one of Ipswich’s founding industries through this exhibition and accompanying publication of Ipswich pottery. Building on the booming brick-making industry of the mid-1850s, Ipswich potters began producing domestic pottery items, from unadorned and functional home-wares through to highly decorated vases and ornamental pieces.
Ipswich Potteries: 1873–1926 traces the history of this important industry through works produced by Reliance Pottery, Dinmore Brick & Tile Co., Rogers & Co. and others.
Ipswich Potteries: 1873–1926 has been developed by the Ipswich Art Gallery.
