Join the Friends of the Ipswich Art Gallery on a Curator’s tour and lunch at the Tweed Regional Gallery & Café in picturesque Murwillumbah, northern NSW.
This leisurely Sunday trip will commence with an informative guided tour of the international exhibition David Hockney: Words and Pictures, featuring the artist’s prints from the 1960s and 70s held in the British Council Collection. Friends will also view the joys of the Margaret Olley Art Centre celebrating the career, life and legacy of Australia’s most loved painter of still life and interiors.
After, delight in the breathtaking panorama of rolling hills, Mount Warning and the Tweed River while enjoying a sumptuous lunch of gourmet sourdough sandwiches and selection of cakes served with tea/ coffee at the Tweed Gallery Café.
