Artists of all abilities are invited to submit textile works which respond to the theme "ENTWINE" to be exhibited in the Ipswich Community Gallery in March 2023.
The exhibition will present a curated selection of artists working across textile mediums which may include soft sculpture, contemporary soft installation, tapestry, wall hangings, quilts, crochet, felt and lacework.
Artists are encouraged to consider subjective associations with the word "ENTWINE", which could respond to the joining process, combining binary opposites, unity, binding, relational bonds, family and community connections as potential starting points. The exhibition aims to bring together both contemporary and traditional approaches to highlight the versatile nature of working in the textile medium.
